From 1997 – 2000, I worked as a Production Artist and Junior Graphic Designer for Not For Tourists Guidebooks, the best guidebook series anywhere. Hands down. I designed graphics, laid out pages, and translated numbers and data into pretty pictures on the printed page for the New York City, Chicago, and LA books.
I have been working in web and interactive media for over ten years. Starting out as a visual designer and front end developer, I have spent the last few years focusing on user experience design and strategy. In other words, I make things work and make them better.
I also teach at Parsons School of Design and have a background in documentary filmmaking. Recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about the relationship between the documentary and interaction design process and practice.
