Before September 11, 2001 and the subsequent political turmoil in the United States, my generation (the folks post-gen-x and pre-gen-y) was notoriously apathetic. Back in 1999, my friend Matt Weiser and I directed, wrote, produced, and edited a documentary exploring apathy in the context of post-cold war American media, culture, and society.
