Casio
When Casio launched its pixelcam, a wristwatch with a built-in digital camera, it wanted to market the product towards a young, tech-saavy demographic.
As a Junior Designer, I worked on a team that developed a dynamic flash application that would allow the top DJs in Europe to take photos with their watches, upload them to to a public website, and share them with fans across the world. Anyone else with a Wristcam could also sign up for an account and upload photos.
While the wristcam never caught on, the technology was a precursor to mobile phone cameras and online social networking/photo sharing websites.
